I went to a wedding at the Terra Nova Golf Resort last weekend, and while the wedding was enjoyable, my interaction with the front desk staff was not. While driving there from out of town, I called twice in the morning to see if it was possible to get checked in prior to 3pm as the ceremony started at 3pm. The woman on the phone laughed at me.When I arrived on site at 12, I checked to see if any possibility of getting in earlier than 3 to get ready for the wedding. I got a "oh you again". I said any room is fine, but was told my room was vacant & dirty, and she could not ask housekeeping to clean it as it would "cause issues." So I asked where a bathroom was so I could change... I had to get ready in the basement bathroom!!!! If you are hosting a wedding on your site, the hotel should be more accommodating to the (especially out of town) guests attending the wedding. I worked at a hotel for 4 years and if there is a guest waiting to get into a room and it is vacant, it should be a priority to clean that room first. Other local wedding guests were able to check in at 2pm. I am giving it 2 stars for the rude service, it made me upset and frustrated. However, the wedding was good, and I liked the pool area.
Visited for a wedding. Incredibly warm and humid in halls, though reception room and hotel room cooled well. Strange odour in hotel room, but otherwise fine. Nice views from third floor.
Location is good, but our room had not been updated in a very long time and water damage repairs were of poor quality. Front desk service was adequate. Pub service was excellent.
Wasn't bad. Just a normal resort. The staff aren't organized too much, for e.g. we booked our room a week ago and then came to find someone in it. The Expedia website is NOT updated. But I liked it because it was nice and cozy.
The 18 hole course is one of the nicest i have ever played. The grass is always bright green and cut to perfection. Their 9 hole is kept up just as well. The resort is always clean and well kept. The dining room is very nice and food is always good.
